Main Responsibilities
The Plant Manager is the senior operational leader of the manufacturing site, reporting directly to the President. He/she is responsible for the overall performance of the plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations aligned with corporate strategy. The role oversees all key plant functions — Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain/Logistics, Quality, HSE, IT, HR, and Purchasing — and drives operational excellence, continuous improvement, and organizational capability. The Plant Manager plays a central role in leading people, managing industrial relations, and ensuring strong alignment with corporate functions.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure overall plant operational performance, adherence to budgets, and achievement of financial targets;
- Oversee production planning, capacity balancing, resource optimization, and key KPI monitoring (OEE, scrap, inventory, budget);
- Guarantee compliance with company procedures, legal requirements, QHSE standards, and industry regulations;
- Contribute to plant strategic assessments and define action plans aligned with group strategy;
- Lead operational excellence initiatives (Lean, waste reduction, efficiency improvement) and drive continuous improvement;
- Optimize production assets, propose investment plans, and support change management;
- Lead, coach, and develop the plant leadership team; set objectives, evaluate performance, and identify training needs;
- Promote a strong industrial culture based on discipline, engagement, and accountability, ensuring clear internal communication;
- Act as primary contact for unions and employee representatives, ensuring constructive and compliant social dialogue;
- Represent the plant in internal committees and external meetings, collaborating closely with corporate functions;
- Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions, fostering a strong safety culture.

Requirements
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline;
- Over 10 years of experience in industrial management within complex manufacturing environments
- Proven experience working with unions and social partners;
- Strong background in operational excellence, Lean methodologies, and continuous improvement;
- Solid track record in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing plant-level operations;
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial performance drivers;
- High proficiency in production planning, capacity analysis, and efficiency optimization;
- Solid understanding of quality systems and regulatory standards (ISO, QHSE);
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
- Fluent in Italian and English, French is considered an asset;
- Conflict management and ability to handle sensitive social situations constructively;
- Managerial courage and ability to provide direct, constructive feedback;
- Ability to build effective teams and foster collaboration;
- Strategic agility and capacity to anticipate constraints and manage complexity;
- Comfort operating in ambiguous and evolving environments;
- Integrity, transparency, and reliability.
